Translation of the word "lessons"
Can I translate the word "Lessons" with the word "Unterricht"?
If not what would it be the right translation?
Thank you!

Yes, you can! ;)
I guess the reason you ask is that "lessons" is plural and "Unterricht" is singular. That creates confusion in our language learner brains. I strongly recommend you to learn everything in a way that you can relate to it. Thus, it's better to learn "lesson" as "Stunde" (in terms of "Unterrichtsstunde") and "lessons" as "Stunden" (in terms of "Unterrichtsstunden"). This makes the whole thing much easier to understand.
Same applies to "homework" (="Hausaufgabe(n)). We usually use the plural to express the singular "homework". It should be "homeworkS", though. Learning by using this way of translating is called "brain-friendly".
Cheers.

I took lessons in... Ich nahm Unterricht in...
How many lessons did you take in English? Wieviele Unterrichtsstunden hattest du im Fach Englisch? Wieviel Unterricht hattest du im Fach English? Is possible, but uhm, first option was my preference, tbh.
What classes did you take? Welchen Unterricht/ welche Unterrichtsstunden/ welche Kurse hast du belegt/ genommen?
So, yes you might be able to, but some context does ask for the 'Stunde' as well....
