Do "emotion" and "constipation" collocate? I've heard TV characters saying "emotionally constipated" or "emotional constipation", which indicates the inability to empathise with other people. Are these proper collocations? Can they mean differently? Thanks.

"emotional constipation" is not a common saying, but when the average English speaker hears this it will make sense. With constipation, there is a build-up within, and the person is unable to release it. So, emotional constipation would mean that a person is unable to show or express any emotion.
