How does this German sentence make sense? - "Ich bin gerade dabei TV zuschauen."
Can someone explain how the following sentence makes sense. The sentence is "Ich bin gerade dabei TV zuschauen". 1) I thought you couldn't have an auxiliary verb and an Infinitive in a sentence because German doesn't have that format like English.. e.g I am going, I am eating etc.? 2) What does "dabei" mean in this sentence/context?

dabei sein, etwas zu tun
Ich bin gerade dabei TV zu schauen. > I am watching TV (in this moment).
Ich bin beim Fernsehen. > Ich bin gerade dabei, fernzusehen.
"dabei" is a compound.
