They are the same thing, fridge is short for refrigerator, but for whatever reason, fridge is spelled with a 'd'.

Fridge is slang for refrigerator. The d is added because if you were to write the short form as 'frige', it would change the pronunciation of the 'i' and 'g', resulting in something unrelated to the original pronunciation like fry-g.
