意味は
だんだん、徐々に、
・=Gradually
・=by the day with each passing day
・=day by day
使い方は
「日に日に暖かくなってきた。」 It's getting warmer day by day.

"日に日に" is "day by day" in English, I guess.
Ex.
赤ちゃんは、日に日に大きくなる。
Baby is getting bigger day by day.
