Do you think that Peter has any chance OF/IN GETTING the job he applied for? after "change of/in" a noun is used. "getting" (the process or state of obtaining") is gerund that changes a verb into a noun. This in turn depends on whether you are using "any" or "a/the" "Do you think that Peter has A/THE chance TO GET the job he applied for?
