Hey guys! Do the words 'ear' and 'year' have the same pronunciation?
For me, these words seem to have exactly the same pronunciation. Maybe there's a subtle difference but I can't differentiate easily. Well, I need you to help me out. Please tell me if there's any difference or not. Thanks!

There is a slight difference in pronunciation. I speak with a Canadian accent if tou understand IPA transcriptions , "year" goes /jir/ and "ear" is /ir/
The beginning sound in year (the /j/ sound) is the same as you would hear in "yes" or "yellow"
Hope that helps!
