Hi guys!
While I was reading a news article, I read the word 'languish'.
So I searched in a dictionary, but I couldn't understand what does it stand for exactly.
can you please tell me the exact meaning and give me some example sentences kindly?

Hi Andy,
Do you have some context? The proper meaning is to grow weak, however an example might help more.
We often see this word used in older contexts. For example a common thing you would see/hear would be "languish in agony" which would kind of mean to be in so much pain/agony you cannoy go on an give up.
Its a difficult to explain but hopefully this helps with what you've found.
