In case the words are not questions as everybody assumed, these can be found also in positive or negative sentenses, in which cases these are: What: usually "lo que" (What I need = lo que necesito) When: "cuando" (with no written accent on the "a", When she comes = cuando ella venga) Where: "donde" (with no written accent on the "o", where I want to be = donde yo quiero estar) Why: por qué, el por qué or la razón (that is why I need to go = ésa es la razón por la que necesito irme. But: I don't know why = no sé por qué) Who: "quien" (with no written accent on the "e", I need to know who did this = necesito saber quien hizo esto) How: "cómo" (I don't know how to tell her = no sé cómo decirle. Unless in English the word "how" is followed by an adjective, in which case it will be, in a question, "cuán" or "qué tan"; how big is the house? = ¿cuán grande es la casa? or ¿qué tan grande es la casa?.
