What is "like" in German What I mean is, "like" as we use in the middle of a sentence all the time. Is there any words in German that is equivalent to that? e.g. You know, Pusheen is like, really cute!! Thanks!

"Wie" = like Ich habe ein Auto wie Marias Auto. Oder: Mein Auto ist genauso wie Mairas Auto.

Both Sara and Alexandre are right. "like" = "wie" is more right than not, but in the above sentence I would definitely use "irgendwie". But several usages would require slightly different translations, e.g.: "This looks like him" (meaning he did it) = "Das sieht ihm ähnlich" / "He looks like his brother" = "Er sieht aus wie sein Bruder" / "I had to pay something like 50 Dollars" = "Ich musste so an (or: um) die 50 Dollar zahlen" / "It happened like this" = " So ist es passiert" / "People are like that" = "So sind die Leute" / "She behaved like nothing had happened" = "Sie verhielt sich, als sei nichts geschehen" or "Sie verhielt sich, als ob nichts geschehen sei (or: wäre)"
