What does "alert" mean in this sentence? "I am not my usual alert self." What does alert mean???

I think "alert" means "vigilant, attentive, careful".

If you are alert, you are very awake and notice everything around you. "I am not my usual alert self, " can be rewritten as "I'm unusually drowsy today." I hope that helps. :-)
