Hello again Halbert This is a phrase. Don't split it up into individual words it will not make sense. "quick and dirty tips" = shortcuts (plural) Memorise the phrase if you like but it is unlikely you will ever use it in day-to-day conversation.

If you want to repair a piece of machinery, or alter a computer program, sometimes there isn't time to do it properly. You can talk about a "quick and dirty" solution which solves the immediate problem, but is not a good quality piece of work.

"quick and dirty" doesn't necessarity mean it is of poor quality piece like in programming (i hope you have some idea of coding), a "dirty" program may not have good indentations or use good variables (like using x= or y= instead of total_people= or counter1=) which makes it hard to read or modify. But the program will still run smoothly with no problem.
