Hello, do you know if there’s in Arabic some expression to say “It had costed me an arm and a leg”, meaning that something was very expensive? En français, l’équivalent serait « ça coute les yeux de la tête »

In the dialect where I live we say: لقد كلَّفني دم أسناني (it has cost me the blood of my teeth!). in MSA it's: هذا باهض الثمن / عالي الكلفة

In our dialect we would say "هاذ الشيء كلفني اللي فوقي واللي تحتي", and in standard maybe we would say "هذا الشيء باهظ الثمن، لقد اشتريته بكل ما أملك"ا
