what is the difference between 怪我 and 傷 (kizu)?

怪我 is used to descibe big physical wound. For example, in a car accident.傷 is not very serious. For example,finger is cut by a paper.

怪我 : getting wounds 傷 : wound itself OK:ころんで傷ができた。 NG:ころんで怪我ができた OK:ころんで怪我した NG:ころんで傷した OK: 深い傷が残った。 NG:深い怪我が残った。 OK:怪我しないようにね NG:傷しないようにね
