What's the difference between fulfilled and satisfied? "I'm fulfilled to be needed by others" or "I'm satisfied to be needed by others" I want to express I'll feel happy or contented by the needs of other. What words can I use "fulfilled" or "satisfied"? What's the difference between fulfilled and satisfied?

Fulfilled might refer to a long term success. You could say you feel fulfilled by seeing your children succeed. It's rare to say you're satisfied by your children's success. Satisfaction can also have a slightly negative connotation, as in the case of a meal that was satisfactory (i.e. It only met your base expectations).
