Que signifie ' sans que' en français ?

Sans = without, but we write "sans que" when we want to turn the sentence in subjunctive, or conditional tense.

Do you have an example ? Because "sans" means "without" and literaly "sans que" means "without that.." but can you send me a sentence ? :)
