What does "One in particular" mean?
To this day, I don’t believe I’ve come close to mastering the craft. There are only a few, in my mind who have. One in particular.
Does it mean "Exactly, there is only one who have mastered the craft"

The author says that a few come to mind who have mastered the craft, so here "One in particular" means that amongst those few there is one specifically that the author is thinking about. Since a few have mastered the craft it means that they all share this trait, however, this "one" likely has another uniqueness that separates them from the few.
