Do we say " wake up a memory " in English?

We'd understand what you meant, but it isn't the usual collocation. Memories aren't sleeping.
A good word to use here would be 'evoke'. For example, listening to a piece of music can evoke memories. If you want a less formal word, 'bring back' would work.
