A report is usually an informative summary. Examples: a scientific report, a business report, a news report, and in school, a book report (summary). A review is usually an evaluation. Examples: a restaurant review, a movie review, and a book review.

in what context? There is no black and white answer. Jazz gave an answer related to analysis of a text. Another option would be writing about a product. A review just gives a personal opinion of the product. A report on a product would involve much more background research, testing, and analysis of the product.

Hello, Rita. A report is much simpler in structure and offers a summary of a text but does not require any in-depth analysis of the text. A review is an analysis of the text, which is centered on elements of the text but does not summarize it. Overall, a report is a simple explanation or summary of a text. While a review is an analysis that covers the themes or ideas in the text in a much more in-depth and critical manner. I hope this explanation helps.
