How do I say 'both of them'?
eg Both of them are towns - они оба города?
- Both of them welcome tourism - они оба привлекают туризм?
- both of them are more expensive than other towns - они оба дороже, чем другие города в стране?

И тот, и другой - города. В обоих процветает туризм. Жизнь в обоих дороже, чем в других городах страны.
You can't construct the first sentence with "оба".

Оба они - города.
Оба привлекают туристов.
И жизнь в них дороже, чем в любых других.

Well, the translation both = оба is correct. However we can't translate just word by word as in English. For example, sentence 2. "В обоих городах процветает туризм". Or "Оба города привлекают большое кол-во туристов. So, just be careful with structure and other words, besides "оба".
