"the whiskey talking" What does this phrase mean?
I found the phrase from song lyrics, the song "enough" Forever my girl OST.
Here is full sentence "It ain't the whiskey talking or the loneliness I'm feeling".
Is there any its figurative meaning?

It means I am drunk or near drunk and I said a few things that I would NOT say if I were sober.
Example.... "Last night, when I said I Love you, that was the whiskey talking"
That means he regrets saying what he said.
