what's do "tucking"and "sleet" mean in "tucking her chin to protect her face from pounding sleet"?
2) what does "lose to" mean in "her feet felt like she might lose them to frostbite"?

"Sleet" is a mix of snow and rain and ice pellets. "Tucking" your chin means to tilt your head so that your chin touches your chest.

"dripping" means he was so wet that drops of water were falling off of him.

"Lose" means to not have them anymore. "Lose to" means you don't have them anymore because of frostbite.
