How do you say in Japanese "attractions" as in the ones you get on on Disney World?
I haven't been able to find anything that, when searched, gives the right result.
I mean the machines/installations in amusement parks.

We call it アトラクション. We borrowed the word from English.

You might as well use this word when you talk with elderly people even now because they probably don't know the other katakana name.

They used to be called "乗り物", which literally means "vehicle" or "vessel".
