I live alone in a different city from my family. “alone” would mean that you live without a roommate. If you only wanted to say that you don’t live with your family, you might say
I live away from my family in a different city.
I don’t live with my family any more. I live in a different city now.
I don’t live with my family any more. I moved to a different city.
I live in a different city from my family.
