You can use the word in describing people who have high goals and they are focused and driven in achieving it. Here are some example 1. I have an ambitious co-worker, he is just new in the company but he wants to be promoted in a year. 2. My friend is very ambitious, she studies really well so that she can attend Peking University. 3. I think I am an ambitious person because my family is the same, they all have dreams to fulfill and each one is successful. You can use the word to describe different people as long as they fit the description of someone who is ambitious.
