I am a little confused as to what the exact difference between the words مدح و سبح is? Thank you for any help you can offer.

مدح=compliment ..to mentions good things in people or acts
سبح=there is سبَحَ SABAHA=which mean (swim)...and here is the one confused you >>سبَّحَ
SABBAHA =praise.(to say SOBHAN ALLAH )its for Allah only
.>so سبحits for Allah/مدحfor other good things in the world
