"if it were so easy, I would have married many years ago" - does this sound authentic?

For this exact sentence to be correct you would have to specify WHO you would have married. Example: "If it were so easy, I would have married HER many years ago." If you don't have a person to specify, you should say: "If it were so easy, I would have BEEN married many years ago."
