I listened to the audio profiles contained in dictionary and found that there is a /g/ sound in the word lung in American English

There may be some regional variation, but from where I'm from in the US people say /lʌŋg/.

It's normally pronounced ˈlʌŋ'. It's the same 'ng' sound we get in long, rung, swing, ring, etc. It's the standard 'ng' sound.
