아깝다 means feeling sorry to see something wasted. It does not mean "precious" in a direct sense but sometimes can indirectly imply it. e.g. * 저 사람은 능력이 아깝다 = 저 사람은 능력이 있는데 (기회가 없어서) 그 능력을 발휘하지 못하기 때문에 안타깝다 = I feel sorry he is not making full advantage of his talents (because he's not given the opportunity) = I feel sorry to see his (precious) talents wasted. * 그는 아까운 사람이다 = He is a good/talented person who unfortunately has not reached the full potential ("precious" is sort of implied). 뭔가 = 무엇인가 = something; something or another I can't name exactly. 뭔가 제가 (제 자신을 위해서) 사기에는 돈이 아까운 그런 게 좋은 것 같아요 = It would be good if it's something that I would hesitate to shell out the money to pamper myself with = It would be such a nice/luxurious item that I would normally not buy it for myself because it's too expensive (but I would still buy it to present to someone).
