"늘리다, 키우다" or "향상시키다", "개선하다".
"늘리다, 키우다" are informal.
"향상시키다, 개선하다" sound more formal because "개선" and "향상" are from Chinese characters.
For example, 영어 실력을 늘리고/키우고 싶어(I want to improve my English).
삶의 질을 향상시키는 것/개선하는 것은 중요하다(Improving the quality of life is important).
