Le verbe 'accourir' est composé du 'courir' et de la préposition latine 'ad'. Le 'd' se transforme généralement en la consonne suivante 'c' pour devenir 'accourir''. 'ad' signifie à, vers. Donc 'accourir' signifie courir vers quelqu'un ou quelque chose. Exemple : J'ai vu mon enfant tomber et j'ai accouru vers lui.
