¡Hola! ¿Cómo estás? (hello! how are you?)
or
¡Hola! ¿Qué tal? (hello! what's up?)
you can reply with "muy bien! ¿Y tú?" (very well, and you?)

Hello Jess,
For Hello you could also use "qué hubo?" ,but it is used rather in Mexico and Chile.

Informal (friends, family, peers): "Hola. Como estas?"
Formal: "Buenos dias/tardes/noches. Como esta?" (Good morning/afternoon/evening)
