Both passions and aspirations are forms of desire. Passions are desires for activities or things. I have a passion for good stories or writing. Aspirations are desires to achieve goals. I have aspirations of becoming a author or spending my retirement reading all day.

A passion is something that you enjoy doing, an aspiration is something that you are working to become. Example: I have a passion for cooking, I aspire to become a great chef one day.
