How do you say I thought... in Korean? I thought the bus left already (but I found out it hasn't come yet). How to use 알다 to mean that you thought something is _____ but the reality is contrary to your idea? 미리 고맙습니다!

Hi Ellie, You could use '~줄 알았어'. ex) 버스가 떠난 줄 알았어. (I thought the bus left already.) 너 점심 먹은 줄 알았어. (I thought you already had lunch.)
