Hola, Chris!
Il y l' son artigos masculinos definidos como "el" en español. Il va delante de sustantivos que comienzan con una consonante (il cane, il presidente). L' va delante de vocales, masculinas y femininas (l'acqua, l'uomo). Lui es simplemente "él" (Lui è il presidente - él es el presidente)
