There are actually a lot of ways to use the word "kendi" in Turkish.
There are two ways to use it that are easy for beginners to learn:
kendi evim - my own house (i.e. emphasizing that it is not someone else's house)
kendim yapıyorum - I am doing it myself (i.e., emphasizing that no one else is doing it, just me)
I've given explanations and examples of these two usages on this page: https://www.turkishtextbook.com/beginner-kendi-forms/
The other usages of kendi are a little more difficult to learn:
kendimi affettim - I forgave myself
kendime güveniyorum - I trust myself
kendinden korkuyor - he is afraid of himself
And then there is the "kendi kendi" forms, which is mainly used for unexpected situations:
kendi kendime yapıyorum - I am doing (something) all by myself
These more difficult kendi forms are explained in this lesson: https://www.turkishtextbook.com/intermediate-kendi-forms/
