when we should use 夜間 (yakan) and when to use 夜(yoru)??

夜 is night, 夜間 means during night. You can say 「明日の夜、映画をみます」, but not 「明日の夜間」.

Maybe both have same meaning. 夜間 is formal. Somtimes 夜間 means [duaring a night].
