Do you know the official romanization of Korean? If not, I'd recommand you visit this site, http://www.korean.go.kr/eng/index.jsp You would probably like the left side bar titled "Korean Standard Pronunciation".
For "please", we say 좀 - jom. 좀 originally means a little/kind of/sort of/somewhat, but in spoken Korean it's more widely used.
자고 싶다 I want to sleep
좀 자고 싶다 I want to get some sleep
놀자 Let's hang out
좀 놀자 *Let's hang out*(wanting to hang out with the listener badly)
나 도와줄 수 있어? Could you help me?
나 좀 도와줄 수 있어? Could you please help me?
(나 좀 도와줄래? is preferred as the above sounds a bit formal between friends)
I've said "좀~ 진짜!" when my close friend was being too naughty. (If you don't get its meaning, "좀~ 진짜 (하지 마)!"
제발 is more emphatic than 좀. I think we say 제발 when we're annoying or are in a bad mood.
생각 좀 해 - 제발 생각 좀 해
나 좀 내버려 둬 - 제발 나 좀 내버려 둬
