Au means "encounter people or something" and Atta is past tense of Au.
Kureta means someone gave (you/someone) something. It is past tense.
Oreta is also past tense and means "broke".
Kurete is changed style as it is connected two words Kureta and "Te"(connection word). I think a sentence should come after that as it explains reason what it happens after that.
