“突然”和“忽然”有区别吗?

意思上是一样的 词性上不太一样吧
比如:“这是一起突然事故。”就不能讲“这是一起忽然事故。”
“突然”是形容词,除了做状语以外,还能作定语、谓语、补语。“忽然”是副词,只能作状语。
“突然”的其他几种用法:
一、 突然+(的)+名词。例如:
1. 情况发生了突然的变化。
2. 有一个突然的消息要告诉你们。
二、“很”(程度副词)+突然:突然+“极了”或“得很”。例如:
1. 事情发生地十分突然。 事情发生地突然极了。
2. 天气变化地很突然。 天气变化地突然极了。
三、动词+得+(……)突然。例如:
1.他的病来得有点儿突然。
2.事故发生的那么突然。
四、其他。例如:
1. 你认为发生这样的事情突然吗

meaning is similar ,but 突然 also could be adjective not only adv.

not so much difference... but we use 突然more..

it's hard to explain it,but if you read or listen to native Chinese speakers a lot,you will definitely and automatically understand their small differences.
