to know = shi-ru, shitte-iru, waka-ru, wakatte-iru
I know him. = Watashi-wa kare-wo shitte-imasu.
I don't know. = Watashi-wa shiri-masen.
"You should have done it yesterday." -- "I know that!"
"Kinou yatte okeba yokkatta noni." -- "Wakatte-iru wayo sonna koto!"
