where is the use of ready and readied????

"Ready" is a verb and adjective.
Adjective:
I am ready to go. [I have prepared myself and done what what was necessary, and am now able to go.]
Verb [less common]:
I will ready myself to go. [I will make preparations to be able to go.]
Yesterday I readied myself to go.
