What's middle east in Japanese? Is it in katakana or kanji? Thanks!

Yes, middle east is written with "中東" in Japanese.
中東 sounds "chuutou".
anyway,
中 = middle
東 = east
...it's a bit simple, isn't it? ^^

"中東" according to http://jisho.org/ (which is a really great online Japanese/English dictionary.. it even has a "Search kanji by radical" option! ^-^)
