how different between Daisuki and Aishiteru? how to say I love you in japanese?

my friend japanese recently answered this for me ><
aishiteru means "i love you"
daisuki means "big like" or "i like you a lot"
daisuki is used more than aishiteru O.o;

大好きmeans you like people or other things very much,usually uses it in friends chatting and your hobby.
愛しているmeans you like someone very much,use it when you Confession.
I love you=わたしは、あなたを愛しています
