What is your main goal in learning a language?

I want to be able to help people when they ask for it. No matter the language. Communication in this world is key. If I were ever lost in a foreign country I would hope that someone would be able to speak my language and help me.

1- i want to speak fluently english with my friends in all the world
2- i need to come to understand the movies and videos
3- understand all kind of books in english

Firstly I want to be succesful in my future career and f.e. fluent English speach is obligatory for it. Also learning foriegn languages develops my mental skills and simply interesting way to spend my free time!
