You can watch english movies with turkish subtitle If you can find it. of course , The best way to learn a language is to live in that country , 5-6 month or more :)

Hello Dany, I think the best way for a start is to get familiar with the langauage as soon as possible and that can be done by listening to native speakers (maybe on tv or radio), listening to Turkish songs and socializing with Turkish-speaking people. I think learning simple Turkish phrases is a good solid start and you can go on by learning new vocabulary and increase it day by day. While i am learning Spanish, i -not only look up but- read Spanish words on wordreference.com. So you can use dictionaries online to reach new phrases. İyi çalışmalar.

You can listen to Turkish music, get a small dictionary and study some texts to get familiar with the language. Because if you study from a dictionary, you may learn lots of new words but wouldn^t recognise the suffixes and conjugations.
