What is the difference between 'ya gameel' and 'ya habibi'? I think both are terms of endearment. Can either be used for just a friend or do both imply a boyfriend/girlfriend?

What if a girl start using this word in conversation and you have no idea what to interpret it !!! 'ya habibi' & 'thank you habibi' was the words she used. Should one reply with 'habibti'? What should be a proper reply? Google doesn't help much but hope you guys can.
