heh..do u know the song "Money can't buy me love" that is the answer. Money can help you to reach your aim, to achive the result u've dreamed about, but they can't be the aim. I mean that if u said to yourself that u want to get money and that will make you happy,..well..no doubt u will be haappy for about..hm ...30 min-1 day..but later you will find out that now u have no dream, no aim...Can you be happy with such thoughts?! I think can't.

Neither money nor lack of money bring happiness unless special circumstances are met. Happiness stems from mechanism deeply rooted in our brain, that evolved through long ages; luckily 'money' appeared quite late in this process, so there was not much room left; happiness is related to favorable circumstances for the individual's life or for future life, (as we all know love has a lot to do with future life and therefore with happiness); a blue sky is the opposite of bad weather which long ago could lead to illness, this makes us happy too; happiness also comes from being able to fulfill your plans (thus improving your chances of successfully mating, always life here); when money or giving away all your money (San Francesco) helps you fulfilling your plans for life, then it is an instrument to happiness. Hope you don't feel unhappy after this lengthy explanation!
