What's the difference between "preserve" and "reserve"?

"Preserve" means to protect something so it's condition remains the same.
Example:
She preserved the photographs in an album. (Meaning she kept the photos safe in an album)
"Reserve" means when you set something aside.
Example: I will reserve a seat for you. (Meaning I will save a seat for you)
