Decir " goodby" = "adios" no es una forma muy cortes de despedida, podemos decir "hasta luego" o generalmente decimos "chao", or "nos vemos".

Simply "chau". In other countries will say "chao" (just a little variation). Then you have several alternatives by adding other things: "Bye! See you later": ¡Chau! Nos vemos (the "later" it's implicit), wich is the must common here in Argentina. But say "Goodbye" (Adiós) at least here is not used, is correct, but not used. ps.: feel free to correct my english lol

"Chao y dale"... es la forma informal... "dale nos vemos!" Dale cuidate!... ok dale! "Adiós" es muy formal, solo lo escucho en las películas... Lo más común es decir: Chao y sus variantes; dale, ok, que estés bien, cuídate, mosca, etc.

You usually say "adios", but in a more formal and polite, they say "Hasta pronto."
